or are we dancers?

I can't believe it. It's been 6 days since I have stepped out of the house. And I'm not even doing exciting stuff like reading my novels. Exciting. Hahhhhh.

Anyway, I managed to find this barely decent photo of sis and bro-in-law (tee hee feels weird).

Ringing the bells at Amara Sanctuary Resort during ROM.

With the beauuuutiful Mrs Chong. Yes I know I have bad posture. STFU.

Ahem. As I was saying. On another happy occasion, celebrated my dad's birthday! Though there was no big feast involved, at least we sat down for family dinner. and ate packed dishes from Soup Restaurant. Yum's the word. YUM.

On the same day. My dog decides to be a total bitch (pun intended) and wreck a plastic bag to chomp off one whole block of kueh lapis. I repeat. ONE WHOLE FRICKIN BLOCK. Absolutely horrid. She. Is. FAT.

Anyhoo. Break's over. Hitting the books with my head now.
And I shall grace you with the last photo of the day of me being greedy trying to eat one whole cake by myself. But definitely not as greedy as xiaobai. Definitely NOT.

Okay this is something that I wanted to say few months ago that has been constantly bugging me. GUYS. IT'S NOT COOL TO CONSTANTLY FAWN ALL OVER KOREAN FEMALE IDOLS AND POST THEIR NEWS HAPPENINGS OVER FB and add captions like 'wow, so pretty'. It's damn gross.

I dont know why, I just want to bitch slap when I see that kind of idiot stuff being shown on my wall.

Guess my exam angst is not over yet.

Oh and on a side note - congrats to my sis and alan! I wanted to post a nice photo of them but I realised I didn't have any worthy pictures to upload D=

Meow fat cat speaking

This semester is coming to a close and thank goodness. Faster please, thankyou. So many events during this period that my head is still spinning.

- Minor house renovations (I've got my own room now, awesomee!)
- Sis wedding preparations
- Exams coming up (right before that was the project craze period -_-)
- My resume which I have not -ahem- yet done

And my 21st birthday...
Which I'm not going to do a single shit - thanks to exams.

Well. THAT was depressing. Time to sleep off the hunger and drained brain.

I can, I will, I must conquer that 4 damnassholicboringtextbook modules. Mwahahahahahaha!
Aww mommy I'm soooooo hungry!

It's a love-hate thing

I am so NOT ready to go back to study mode. School has started for 3 weeks but I still have this inertia! DAMN.

And the modules doesn't look appealing so far at all. Worse, all the textbooks are colourless.
Business Finance is pissing me off and making me enthusiastic about attempting the questions at the same time

*grumblegrumbleson*
...

.....

I'm gonna be an 'ol lady before I turn 25. I'm sure of it. D=

Falling in love under the raspberry sun

I spent the whole of today - well more likely yesterday since this is already almost 4- watching chick flicks which I haven't done for ages.

I've watched REALLY. A lot.
And so I think that if I have to pick my favourite out of this marathon thingy, it will DEFINITELY be Leap Year (2010) played by Amy Adams and Matthew Godde.

I koped this picture off the internet because the movie poster does no justice to the whole thing

The setting is awesome (Ireland cue swoon). The cast is awesome. The script, meh what do you except from a chick flick. Overall it was a really really good movie. I think it ranks top on my chick flick list.
And it doesn't hurt that they have a very good wardrobe stylist. I WANT the lead's scarf.

I don't care that reviews gave it a one out of five. In my opinion, its one of the best. And since it is impossible to make me angry after watching such a feel good movie - I dont even mind if the damn pigeons wake me up at 11am like they always do in the morning whilst bathing in my balcony fountain.

Ahh. 'Tis a great moment to feel alive =D

Have a smile, it's on me.

No butter crab and ice-cream? No thanks!

I'm absolutely drooling over fashion blogs.
I've stumbled upon two by accident and I came to a conclusion that they look fantastic wearing anything.
Then I started wondering if its just cause of their fabulous model figures.
And for a second I kinda wished I had a stick figure,
that is, until I reminded myself that I will have to eat cotton balls dipped into lemon juice.
Eyeck. No thanks.

Adidas brilliant ad

I am soo loving this 'Adidas is all in' commercial. Absolutely fantastic.
Two thumbs up!

Other ads are interesting too, such as DBS - Living Breathing Asia or Heineken - Open Your World. But I guess Adidas is the icing on the cake.

Bawr~

Tomorrow will be the first day of school. Somehow its still a mixed feeling for me.
I think I like the new notes more than wanting to attend lectures. And I haven't even look at the lecture notes yet. =_=

It's another 4 months of hard work and before you know it, holidays will be around the corner again.
I don't like to sleep late even though lessons are at noon tomorrow - beginning to regret the caffeinated Starbucks for dessert.

Saboteur - the It game now. Had rounds and rounds of it with kx and his family which was really fun. Hope this will be the game to play with my school friends this sem too.

Au revoir! I'll write when I write!

the PIMP syndrome

Helloo world.

Today is the day.
I have been waiting for (or not).

It's......

Results release day!

Dun dun dun dunnnn~

It's also the day where I have what I will crudely describe it as a PIMP syndrome. You know, aka pee-in-my-pants.

No, it's not that funny, huh.

Anyway, nothing interesting happened this past few days since I last updated. It's just the usual. Nua-ing at home, shopping and nua-ing somemore. Yup, good ol' days.

Alright, I shan't waste my time here where I can be sleeping - I'll be closer to the time when results release anyway. Toodles!

I'mma free - bitch

the title says it all. Holidays here I come!

Stop oh yes, wait a minute Mr Postman!

My sister dragged me out of bed at 9am today to wait for the parcel that is suppose to arrive today. Since the parcel delivery time was 9am - 12pm. I had no choice but to sleep on the couch instead whilst waiting.

Seriously, I never knew why must people talk so loud. There was this auntie practically hollering downstairs for like a few minutes. And I was pretty sure I mumbled something about shooting her with a tranquiliser. Oh yeah and this baby which (no there is no mistake in my grammer) keep screaming its lungs out. Huh. Anyway, that's not the point.

So waiting sleepily 2 hours later, parcel!!

ASOS big plastic bag. So exciting right.

And out spills all the clothes. So happy right.

NOT. Sadly, more than 90% of the pile does not belong to me nor my sister. We only bought a piece.. Kwakwa.. And there looking at the other pieces I suddenly feel the urge to tell the rest of the people the shipment got lost, no choice but to refund the money and SEIZE the clothes! Wahahaha.
No, no chance of happening though. Bad karma will so turn back and kick you.

Okay so this ends my 'exciting' day. I don't want to whine and all about exam stress so I'm sparing you guys. That is, if you are even reading this mindless stuff.

Anyway! The previous days were more interesting, besides studying I also wiped out an ants' nest. Photos may be uploaded. I mean, it's kinda gross but coool. Not just having a future as a photocopying auntie, I now also see myself as potential pest control unit. Specialty: ants and only ants. Yeahhhh.

Anyway, today is my Dad's birthday! *Throws lottery papers*
(well, I don't think my dad is a confetti type of guy)

But because I'm 'mugging' no fancy dinner or anything tonight, just the ol' birthday cake =)

Amazingly gorgeous rock that my dad bought for me and my sis. The colours are reallyy pretty when the light hits it in different angles. My camera phone does no justice to this.

Since my birthday is coming up soon, I thought I might reflect a little on what it is going to be like growing up to 20 years old.

I think that I've definitely been able to let go much more. I'm still as thankful and feel blessed to have such an awesome family. I'm not sure if I turned into a mindless bimbo/thoughtless bitch though. I just hope the 20s is going to be kickass for me =)

My very simple but meaningful bulletin board

Spot anything familiar? All these cards & notes do hold a special something in my heart. Although these may be friends that I'm still contacting, in the process of losing contact, have already lost contact eons ago, their little way of caring still makes me smile. As I move on, I hope the friends I am in contact will still contact me 20/30 years down the road. But in reality, you win some, you lose some.

Okayyy! Enough with all the old lady talk. The next update will probably be during the holidays.

Still not emo

Sometimes I wish I can just be invisible.

And forget about every shit.

And when the time comes when I want to go back to my socialising mood,

POOF

Come back to the real world.

Sigh. If only....

Sure, not all things in life I'm sure of.

My sister said to me gravely a few seconds ago.
"Pohyu, not all things in life you can be sure of -"
"but the room is very warm - you're sure of that right?"

Translation: Pohyu, can we turn on the air con cause I'm friggin hot.

HAHAHAAHA. It's like asking permission from me to turn on the air-con so that when my mum grumbles about the electricity bill and how we keep abusing our privileges, she can just point an accusing finger at me and say "shedidit'

This semester is annoyingly overwhelming. I have 4 projects due in 2+weeks or so. Good job. Every weekday is a pathetic 5 hour-max sleep. And every weekday = project day. Top it up with the fact that 90% of our lectures start on 8.30am.
Fyi: I stay in Tampines and my school is at Clementi??
I know, pitiful ain't it. But I honestly avoid to complain as much as possible on my blog so...

DROP SUBJECT

Oh yeah, speaking of subject, I now have 5 modules this semester to take. They are Distributional Channels, Organisational Behaviour, Market Research, Buyer Behaviour and
.
.
.
Monopoly Deal.
HAHAHAHA. It has seriously become alot of my friends' sources of stress reliever and addiction, much to our dismay / relief. Project meeting = 1 hr of eating, max 2 hr discussion and productive work, 1hr++ of monopoly deal.

Well. At least it keeps our sanity in check.

And here's the rest of my random thoughts, in no particular order:
- Designer coffee is bombing my money like siao.
- I'm proud of the organisers behind the YOG. Superb performance and efficiency overall. No doubt China having its ample supply of resources will be grander come next YOG, but as I told my mum. Not everything is about commpetition.
- I LOVE how practising yoga can bring you so many benefits
- I'm barely surviving my Korean lessons due to overwhelming school load
- I still think the new SBS in bright purple and red spells failure with captial F. Increase stability my foot. Why can't we have the old SBS bus with blue - green seats back?
- I want to go shopping! Who wants to fund me? Awww. Comeon!
- I miss playing my keyboard

And I'm not a fan for this acronym because I thought it was so over-rated but. TGIF!!!!!!

How to torture people and make people suffer

Force mandatory Organisational Behaviour module. Make sure to include an essay that needs minimum 5 references and only 2 can be general internet source. Enforce group work every week for consecutive of 8 weeks. Make sure at end of group work there is summary and reflection plus individual and group write-ups.
Also ensure that deadline is crammed with the jammed pack school schedule.
Sit back, smile and watch people get a helluva migrain.

note:please don't this seriously. this post is simply oozing with sacarsm and frustration.

Thursday, July 29, 2010

You know, I normally hate to keep complaining on my blog but..

Seriously. This. Semester. Sucks. 5 freaking projects. And one of the modules is crazy assed busy with weekly summary and reflections reports plus individual analysis of skills. Not to mention BIG individual assignment to hand in next week. Oh yeah plus dumb EC Policy.

If you don't get what I mean, seriously. Don't try to - it's not worth racking your brain.

Anyway, endless days of sleeping poorly, eating for the sake of eating and not enjoying (a first for a long time) and mugging for equally stupid Market Research test, I am ultimately beat.
Psst. MR was stupid because the two questions all came out from Chapter 1. WTH right, I crammed 4 other chapters into my brain like siao for nothing.

-----ends endless, negative, depressing, sian, RAHH-like-feeling rant--------

Anyway, I watched Cracks recently, starring Eva Green and it was well. Disturbing. Not horror-disturbing, but the unsettling kind of feeling that messes with your mind. Oh well. Nevertheless, I thought the visuals was all really good, the ultimately chic Miss G keeps people entranced and the scenery was beautiful - England in the 1930s... I think.

Can't wait to shop. One thing that I haven't change and never will is the love for shopping. Pretty shoes, awesome clothes, yeahhh!

Hell of a headache coming on. WAHHHHH MOMMYYY!!!
